Director of Software Development

BrandShop is currently accepting applications for the Director of Software Development position.

This senior leader will be responsible for spearheading our back-end software development and architecture as well as overseeing our team of developers. The Director of Software Development will be accountable for establishing a clear vision, building process improvement excellences, building organizational capability, driving execution, and measuring and improving performance to deliver market-leading quality.

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Define, deploy, and drive sustainable and repeatable process improvements through the entire software development life cycle
  • Tailor and implement software development methodologies, best practices, and standard work to achieve the highest product quality while continuously improving performance, productivity and execution of the software organization
  • Manage and facilitate multiple development teams to ensure software development efforts meet quality objectives and aggressive release schedules
  • Collaborate with Design, Client Services, Project Management, QA, and other departments in each iteration to optimize user experience and quality
  • Take ownership in resolving escalated complex operational and/or production issues
  • Promote and ensure a high level of morale, setting a high standard for teamwork and results
  • Create and sustain a culture that will attract and retain key talent


  • 8+ years of experience in software development with hands-on coding
  • 5+ years managing a development department consisting of multiple software development teams, preferably in a growing organization
  • Experience overseeing the development and support of high-traffic, consumer-facing web sites or high volume transaction processing

Help Desk Specialist

BrandShop is currently accepting applications for a Help Desk Specialist to support our technology department.

This integral position will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. The Help Desk Specialist responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and determines and implements solution.

Some Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to queries over the phone, through email or in person.
  • Write training manuals.
  • Train computer users.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Respond to email messages seeking help.
  • Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
  • Walk user through problem-solving process.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

We’re looking for someone who has a strong understanding of computer systems, an interest in learning more and enthusiasm for the digital arena. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in the workforce required, preferably in a similar role.

Seasonal Warehouse Associate

BrandShop provides distribution services for a multitude of national brands, and see increased volume as the holidays approach. Positions are available in all warehouse departments. Seasonal positions will have a November 2014 start date and run approximately 6-10 weeks.

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Selecting merchandise for customer orders.
  • Packing and shipping customer orders.
  • Verifying all information on orders to ensure correct merchandise is shipped.
  • Providing general warehouse cleanup and assistance in other departments as needed.

Hours are full time and various shifts are available.

Skills Required:

Some HS required, proven ability to count accurately; ability to read and understand English; proven reliability (attendance & punctuality); no lifting restrictions; forklift certification helpful.

Seasonal Customer Service Associate

BrandShop operates an in-bound call center providing customer service for a multitude of national brands, and see increased call volume during the busy holiday season. Seasonal positions are available with a November 2014 start date and will run approximately 8-10 weeks. Schedule will start on a part time basis and may increase. NO telemarketing is required!

Responsibilities include:

  • Entering orders into computer system that consumers place via phone
  • Offering additional items to consumers.
  • Assisting with email messages about orders.
  • Helping with other department duties.
Skills Required:

HS Diploma or GED; 6+ months previous customer service experience ; excellent verbal and written communication; experience with MS Office, Fax, Copier, and all other office equipment.
