BrandShop is looking for a System Support Specialist to join our Technology team. The System Support Specialist is a key role at BrandShop, and provides technology assistance across the entire organization. This role provides technical support related to computer systems, hardware, software, telephone and A/V – if it plugs in, this role will support it. You’ll respond to service requests, run diagnostic programs and be the hero when you restore a laptop after the blue screen of death.

What you’ll do

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Respond to queries over the phone, through email or in person
  • Create department and company documentation and training materials
  • Create user accounts across all systems and maintenance of user accounts with documentation
  • Train computer users
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems
  • Walk users through problem-solving processes
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems
  • Follow up with users to ensure issue has been resolved
  • Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur

The skills you’ll need to succeed

  • B.S./B.A. with experience in related technology field preferred
  • HS Diploma or equivalent with multiple years experience in the technology field required
  • Microsoft, Linux, or Hardware certifications a definite plus
