BrandShop’s VP of Client Success and Business Development is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, with a primary objective of adding value to client business while increasing profitable revenue to BrandShop. The VP will also be responsible for managing a variety of Enterprise Sales initiatives, focused on assisting the company in winning new business, as well as expanding and cross-selling into existing clients and partners.

What you’ll do:

Client Success

  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact between BrandShop and clients
  • Be extremely client centric and responsive, partnering with both clients directly and the BrandShop Store Operations team to ensure overall client satisfaction and a positive NPS
  • Develop, cultivate, and manage strong, ongoing relationships with clients, business partners, and internal BrandShop team members
  • Listen to and distill clients’ needs, objectives and concerns, and translate them into relevant, impactful e-commerce and marketing solutions in collaboration with internal teams
  • Provide insights and feedback to clients on a regular basis to ensure BrandShop is recognized as a value added partner
  • Track and share e-commerce and retail industry trends as well as competitive landscape information
  • Partner closely with the Store Operations team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of all programs, campaigns, and solutions
  • Communicate clearly and concisely across departments to ensure all are aligned and up to date on client situations, needs, expectations, and upcoming activity
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue with clients through regular strategic planning for active client engagements (e.g. QBRs), while also creating new, innovative solutions and initiatives beyond current activity
  • Prepare and deliver written proposals and presentations to clients, effectively selling the value of the solutions and ensuring client agreement
  • Prepare and deliver reporting and insights to clients regularly throughout the year and as requested; delivered on-time in proper format with value-added insights and recommended strategies for improvement/growth
  • Respond to any problems or issues with a sense of urgency and collaborate effectively to solve issues quickly leveraging sound business decisions
  • Oversee the development, scheduling, and delivery of client projects, working closely with the Store Operations & Delivery Management teams to ensure on-time and accurate delivery
  • Update EVP of Client Success regularly on the status of all client relationships and engagements, including any issues, problems or concerns

Business Development

  • Develop, cultivate, and manage strong, ongoing relationships with new client prospects and business partners
  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and frequently with new client prospects, promoting BrandShop’s capabilities and solutions, and providing insights and feedback to clients on a regular basis to ensure BrandShop is recognized as a value added partner
  • Ensure BrandShop solutions match prospective client needs and accurately represent BrandShop’s delivery capabilities
  • Collaborate with all internal BrandShop team members to design, develop, and deliver on valuable e-commerce and marketing solutions for clients
  • Communicate clearly and concisely across departments to ensure all are aligned and up to date on prospects’ situations, needs, expectations, and upcoming activity
  • Manage and drive all steps in each stage of the RFx/proposal/pitch process, such as initial meetings, presentation, and supplemental proposals, toward the goal of winning new business, retaining existing clients and/or cross-selling/up-selling existing clients on BrandShop solutions
  • Maintain all data and updates about each new business opportunity/pursuit in Salesforce.com.
  • Accurately capture, aggregate, organize, and manage content in central repositories (DropBox and shared drives) for internal use
  • Deliver the assigned new business revenue quotas as assigned

The skills you’ll need to succeed:

  • 10+ years progressive experience as an account manager or account executive
  • 5+ years experience working in a new business or sales capacity, specifically selling e-commerce and/or marketing-related solutions to brands
  • 5+ years experience in the e-commerce industry
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic e-commerce and marketing plans
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with all levels of clients
  • Ability to clearly and professionally communicate to all levels within the organization including peers, SMEs, and senior leadership
  • Ability to quickly problem-solve and support the organization to develop solutions
  • Proven track record of leadership amongst peers and senior leadership
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and excellent organizational skills
  • 10-20% travel required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
