What the job is:

BrandShop is growing! We are seeking a Sales Engineer to help understand our potential clients’ needs and translate them into solutions for BrandShop to deliver. This role will participate in investigating the prospects’ challenges, understand implications of problems that are unique to their business, and create demos and solutions that demonstrate a strong understanding of the prospective client’s business requirements. This position can be remote, as long as the successful candidate has easy access to an airport for travel ease.

What you’ll do:

  • Scope and estimate e-commerce websites for potential clients
  • Lead the discovery session of the project to bridge the information gap between sales and development
  • Thoroughly understand our clients’ needs and translate them into solutions for us to deliver
  • Gather requirements and ask the right questions to expose any gray areas in the scope, with the goal of starting a relationship with clear expectations
  • Gather the functional requirements from the client and turn them into technical requirements with input from the delivery team to ensure accurate estimates and timelines
  • Walk prospective clients through demonstrations of our software, as well as training them on how to use it

The skills you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years experience in a sales, business development, or sales engineering role with experience answering sales inquiries and performing demos of software applications
  • Must be intimately familiar with e-commerce and web platforms, such as Magento and SalesForce Commerce Cloud
  • Experience with eCommerce marketing/application management, web development, Google Analytics, and A/B testing are not required, but a positive
  • Must have a deep experience working in a technical environment and are comfortable discussing technical concepts with both development resources as well as executives
  • An attention to detail, meticulous, thorough, and well presented
  • Capable of translating information clearly between business owners and developer
  • Frequent travel (approx 30% of the time) is required to meet sales opportunities and present solutions
